Modern Murder Movie Marathon:
Me > Swine Flu. The final film I watched was:
Tokyo Gore Police (2008)
Because last review was a bit long I’ll keep this short - all the hyperbole in fewer words. I know I’ve been pretty gleeful with the films that I reviewed so far but hear me when I state this: Tokyo Gore Police is the most important film ever produced within the histroy of cinema. Ever.
You get an arm chopped off and a fucking gun grows in its place. That is so cool. A man’s legs are ripped off and the blood rockets out of him within enough force to propel him into the air! Plot was…was, um…it was…fuck. Um, who cares?
Quick! BRAIN CANNON!

So yeah, the story is something about these things called “Engineers,” or something. I honestly stopped paying attention to the subtitles by the time the third bottle of NyQuil was in me. All I know is that this was the most powerful movie experience I have ever been a part of. And I’ll have you know that I’ve seen the Lord of the Rings alternate ending where Frodo and Sam make out before they violently sodomize an animated hedgehog for a solid 20 minutes of screen time.
That last part may have been from a dream. Point is that I saw it.
Also, I noticed that I had a boner while watching this film. I’m not at all sure what to make of that. What does that say about me? Y’know, as a human being and what not?

Crossed # 6 by Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows
For the past two months I’ve made myself believe that I didn’t have to put any effort into a costume for Halloween because I decided that I was going as a Crossed. However, after having discussed this with a few individuals, I realize that such a custome would be a bad idea.
Such a costume would rely heavily on others knowing what I was, which is a problem the majority of my past costumes have had. The main danger in this is then having to explain what you are, which is never worthwhile, especially since other people don’t care. I expect that a Crossed costume would suffer even more from this since the only way that I can explain what they are in the least amount of words goes something like this, “sadistic, murderous, blood raping non-zombies.”
The series shows, in graphic detail, some of the most disturbing material imaginable…and that is why I started reading it.
What I think would be even worse is that someone I didn’t know actually knew what Crossed was. I’m not sure if I would feel comfortable talking to such a person because I’m not sure that this is the kind of thing to be into without some great sense of desensitization. I’m even hesitant with admitting that I read and enjoy it. Like, I’m talking underfed plague victims having sex with dismembered bodies, or, people STILL LIVING being sodomized with their guts hanging out.
Two months ago I thought to myself, “Yeah. I could be that. That’d be a cool costume.” I think the thought arouse because I thought it could be something of a “sexy” costume as it would involve me showing lots of skin and would give me a reason to work out more and be covered in blood (which spells sexy to me). Actually, I think the reason I choose it was because it looked like an easy costume to achieve without it looking cheap or lame.
I don’t know. Best not to rely on what my past self thought. Fuck my past self. He usually comes off as a dick and completely lacks any sense of foresight.
Anyway I need a new idea. What should I be for Halloween?

One Truth I do know is that Meri Zarchi is to blame for a large portion of damage done to my childhood. You’re the reason why I can’t feel feelings! Oh yeah, also, I enjoy the reference to old Ninento games. Clever.
Ever have that: Where you watch something so graphic that it actually knocks your tolerance for such extremes up a few notches? Yeah, this and Cannibal Holocaust were the two worst things I have ever seen put to film. I have it to congratulate it for actually forcing me to appreciate better films that utilize ultra violence and incredible gore artfully within scenes.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
Having seen both the original sequel to this film (the 1986 one) and the 1994 “reimaging” Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation I find it odd that I never actually saw this film in its entirety until very recent when I watched horror films with my friend this weekend (pretty ballin’). This film is the best within the series that I have seen thus far (I’m guessing the remakes were shit based on experience with this sort of thing), however I find the sequel a bit more entertaining due to its more developed sense of black humor.
