Films I Stopped Watching Half Way Through: 02 - Halloween (2007)
Rob. Look. I like House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. I think you have talent as a film maker but you just fucked with something that was long dead and well fucked (like a dead slutty horse, or something).
Some interesting things going on but I found myself falling asleep and generally not interested. It’s probably because I don’t care for the originals (aside from the very first one). Plus that fat sack of a child who played young Michael kind of annoyed me.

Crossed # 6 by Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows
For the past two months I’ve made myself believe that I didn’t have to put any effort into a costume for Halloween because I decided that I was going as a Crossed. However, after having discussed this with a few individuals, I realize that such a custome would be a bad idea.
Such a costume would rely heavily on others knowing what I was, which is a problem the majority of my past costumes have had. The main danger in this is then having to explain what you are, which is never worthwhile, especially since other people don’t care. I expect that a Crossed costume would suffer even more from this since the only way that I can explain what they are in the least amount of words goes something like this, “sadistic, murderous, blood raping non-zombies.”
The series shows, in graphic detail, some of the most disturbing material imaginable…and that is why I started reading it.
What I think would be even worse is that someone I didn’t know actually knew what Crossed was. I’m not sure if I would feel comfortable talking to such a person because I’m not sure that this is the kind of thing to be into without some great sense of desensitization. I’m even hesitant with admitting that I read and enjoy it. Like, I’m talking underfed plague victims having sex with dismembered bodies, or, people STILL LIVING being sodomized with their guts hanging out.
Two months ago I thought to myself, “Yeah. I could be that. That’d be a cool costume.” I think the thought arouse because I thought it could be something of a “sexy” costume as it would involve me showing lots of skin and would give me a reason to work out more and be covered in blood (which spells sexy to me). Actually, I think the reason I choose it was because it looked like an easy costume to achieve without it looking cheap or lame.
I don’t know. Best not to rely on what my past self thought. Fuck my past self. He usually comes off as a dick and completely lacks any sense of foresight.
Anyway I need a new idea. What should I be for Halloween?
